Not For Resale (NFR) License#️

For CanaryBit Licenced Products

These terms govern your use of Inspector (the "Service") under a free, Not For Resale (NFR) license.

Your NFR license is granted through an NFR invitation or order that links to these terms. By accepting that invitation or order, activating your NFR account through it, or using the Service under it, you accept these terms.

1. Duration#️

CanaryBit grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for 6 months from activation (the "Term"), only for internal evaluation and testing. Only the users and seats approved in your NFR invitation or order may use it.

2. Not for resale#️

You may not:

  1. sell, resell, rent, sublicense, or otherwise commercialize access to the Service;
  2. use the Service in production, with live customer data, or to provide services to third parties;
  3. share credentials or go beyond the approved seats or usage limits;
  4. reverse engineer, copy, or modify the Service, or use it to build a competing product;
  5. publish benchmarks without our written consent;
  6. bypass security or license controls, or scan the Service for vulnerabilities without permission; or
  7. use the Service unlawfully or upload malicious or infringing content.

3. Eligibility and fees#️

NFR licenses are free and granted at our discretion, typically to partners, consultants, integrators, analysts, press, and prospects. We may renew a license but are not required to. For production use, you need a separate paid subscription.

4. Support and availability#️

The Service is provided with no SLA and with support at our discretion. We may change or limit features, reset environments, and delete data at any time, so do not store anything you need to keep.

5. Use of Data#️

Personal Data collected under the NFR licence will be processed solely for the purposes of the NFR licence and will not be used for any resale, commercial redistribution or third-party service delivery.

Upon expiry or termination of the NFR licence, CanaryBit will deactivate the Service and, within 30 days, delete or return (at the Customer’s choice) all data and delete the contact email. CanaryBit may retain minimal licence records (such as licence ID, dates and the Customer’s organisation name) for 5 years to evidence compliance with these Terms.

6. Confidentiality and feedback#️

Keep non-public information about the Service (pricing, roadmaps, pre-release features) confidential and use it only for the purposes above. This does not cover information that is public, already known to you, or lawfully received from others. If you give us feedback, we may use it freely without credit or payment.

7. Ownership#️

CanaryBit owns the Service, its documentation, and the Inspector and CanaryBit names and logos. You receive no rights beyond those stated here.

8. Ending the license#️

We may suspend or end your license at any time, including if you breach these terms, stop being eligible, or we change or end the NFR program. You may stop using the Service at any time. When the license ends, your access ends. Sections 2 and 5 to 9 continue to apply. If you move to a paid plan, the paid agreement applies instead.

9. Disclaimers and Liability#️

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CANARYBIT IS NOT LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES OR LOST PROFITS OR DATA, AND ITS TOTAL LIABILITY IS LIMITED TO EUR 100. You will cover us against third-party claims arising from your data or your breach of these terms.

10. General#️

  • Electronic agreement: Your acceptance of the NFR invitation or order, activation of your account, or use of the Service is a binding electronic signature. We may keep records of your acceptance, including date, time, terms version, account, and IP address.
  • Entire agreement: These terms and your NFR invitation or order (which incorporates them by reference) are the whole agreement. The order controls seats and Term; these terms control everything else.
  • Changes: We may update these terms by posting the new version with a new "Effective Date:". Continued use after that date means you accept the update.
  • Compliance: Follow applicable laws, including export and sanctions rules.
  • Governing law: The laws of Sweden apply, and its courts have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to mandatory local law.
  • Other: You may not assign these terms without our consent. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
